Trademark Protection for Growing Brands

You built the brand.
Now let's protect it.

Attorney-led trademark protection for entrepreneurs ready to protect what they've worked too hard to build—without getting lost in legalese.

Modern legal protection, with a little Southern hospitality.

It's more than a name when you've built a business behind it.

You've spent months—maybe years—building recognition around a name. A storefront. A program. A product line. A body of work people now associate with you.

And trademark protection has been sitting quietly on the "I'll handle that later" list, somewhere between rebranding the website and finally updating your contracts.

  • I'm probably not big enough yet.
  • I already have an LLC.
  • I'll deal with trademarks when the business gets bigger.
  • I don't know if my name can even be protected.
  • I have no idea where to start.

“I'll handle trademarks when the business gets bigger” gets interesting when you realize…it did.

Somewhere along the way, the business you were “seeing where this goes” with became a brand you intend to keep. You aren't behind. It may simply be time for the protection side of the business to catch up.

What's Included

Everything the process requires, handled with attorney judgment.

01

Strategic Brand Discovery

A streamlined client questionnaire and attorney review to understand the mark, business, goods/services, and protection goals.

02

Comprehensive Trademark Clearance Search

Attorney-led clearance research designed to identify potential conflicts and inform filing strategy.

03

Attorney Risk Analysis + Filing Strategy

Clear guidance about potential risks, recommended classes, and the strategy for moving forward.

04

One Courtesy Alternative-Mark Search

If the initial mark presents concerns and filing is not recommended, the package includes strategy guidance and one additional clearance search for one alternative mark.

05

Application Preparation + Filing

Attorney preparation and filing of one federal trademark application with the USPTO.

06

One USPTO Filing Fee Included

The initial investment includes the standard USPTO filing fee reflected above for one class. Additional classes incur the applicable additional government fee.

07

Application Monitoring + Updates

The application is monitored and meaningful USPTO updates are communicated through the client portal.

08

Office Action Support

Attorney handling of Office Action responses within the defined scope of representation, up to the point where a TTAB proceeding would be required.

The $2,350 initial investment includes the USPTO filing fee for one class. Additional classes require the applicable additional USPTO filing fee.

How It Works

What this actually feels like.

Four stages. No guesswork about where you are.

  1. 01

    Tell Me About Your Brand

A short questionnaire in the secure portal. No meeting required to begin.

  2. 02

    Search + Strategy

I research your mark and tell you plainly what I see and what I recommend.

  3. 03

    Prepare + File

If we move forward, your application is prepared and filed.

  4. 04

    Monitor + Navigate

I watch the application and reach out when there's something worth knowing.

Trademark registration takes time, and no attorney can control the USPTO's timeline. But you won't be left wondering what happens next.

The Experience

Personal legal guidance. Without unnecessary back-and-forth.

This is intentionally a boutique experience. The process is designed so that your time is spent on the parts that actually matter—your brand, your strategy, your decisions—rather than chasing updates.

High-touch where attorney judgment matters. Streamlined everywhere else.

  • Attorney guidance whenever legal judgment is needed
  • Clear next steps at every stage
  • A secure client portal
  • Proactive, meaningful updates
  • Plain-English explanations, not legalese
  • No unnecessary meetings—and a consultation whenever one is genuinely useful
  • You shouldn't have to email and ask where things stand—you'll hear from us when there's something to know.

Who This Is For

Built for founder-led brands people already recognize.

The Coach or Course Creator

You've created a business, program, platform, or body of work that's becoming recognizable.

The E-Commerce Founder

Your name is appearing on products, packaging, marketing, and customer orders—and you're building recognition around it.

The Local Business Owner

You've built real goodwill around your business name and want to be intentional about protecting it.

The Growing Founder

Your business isn't just an experiment anymore. You're building something you intend to keep.

You don't need to be a huge company to start thinking like a brand owner.

What's Not Included

Clear scope. No mystery.

The flat-fee trademark package covers the work described above. It does not automatically include unrelated or later-stage legal matters, such as:

  • TTAB proceedings
  • Trademark litigation
  • Enforcement or cease-and-desist matters
  • Oppositions or cancellations
  • International trademark filings
  • Client-caused refiling or new applications
  • Additional marks
  • Clearance searches beyond the included courtesy alternative-mark search
  • Post-registration legal services outside the stated scope

Office Action support is included within the defined scope of representation, up to the point where a TTAB proceeding would be required. If something arises outside the scope of your package, I'll explain the issue and your options—which may require separate representation and fees—before additional legal work is undertaken.
